 After this weeks class, some things that really stood out to me was our last guest speaker about HIV/ AIDS. i really liked how the guest speaker was sharing the comic strips they make for people to understand how to help them with what they are dealing with. I felt having the comics and see all the different scenarios can help people feel more comfortable about having the dieases and not feel ashamed for it. Besdies the guest speaker me and my group have been working hard on our group project. We have finished the google slides and our essay. We all did equal share, we made sure to include things like what is around right now such as the Whoop bracelet and the apple watch, we explained how it is significant to health care and how we are innovating what is around right now to make our own innovation of Beep It. we explain in our essay where Beep It can be used, what can be found on it, how Beep It can hel healthcare and how we can better it fo the future. 3/22/24 blog

 After recent classes. the ones that stuck out to me most was the ones with guest speakers. i found it very interesting hearing about the 4+1 programs. although it didn’t really matter to me because im in the nursing program and fe it doesn’t connect to eachother i felt there was no point but it was just interesting to see what’s possible for other majors. another guest speaker that i found very interesting is studying abroad. i’ve always thought about going somewhere for a semester or even if it was just for a week. i feel that’s such a great opportunity to have and everyone should take advantage of it. lastly another guest speaker that i really liked was hearing about the sororities and how greek life is. i felt it was very welcoming and felt that the speaker made it clear that you might not think it’s for you but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. overall i really liked all the guest speakers we had and with our classes being able to work on our projects and have time to work in...

Innovations in healthcare

  After this week of classes and learning about innovations within healthcare, I found there have been things that were created and found very beneficial. I feel innovations in healthcare are very important because things are always up and changing and it's important to find new ways and adapt to them quickly and efficiently.  One thing that I knew about previously that benefited someone's healthcare was online doctor visits. When Covid came around in 2020 and we were forced into lock down. We were not able to go to doctor visits and it ended up in having to be on a zoom call or just a regular phone call.  Although these online doctor visits were mainly used during covid, we see how they are still being used now even though we are not on lockdown anymore and are allowed to be out. These online doctor visits have made doctor appointments a lot easier for people for example, the elderly or even the disabled. These people might have a hard time traveling and getting around a...
